Avery's hat and a baby's bonnet.

My grandaughter loves pink !

The baby's bonnet not very practical for the child of today. A project I completed in a class held at The Cumberland as part of "Stitching in the Snow". Sadly, Marysville was devastated in the 2008 bushfires. Slowly the town is being restored but The Cumberland is now a stretch of grassland.

An iron cot from the mid 1800 's

I just love the cot....even though space to keep it is difficult. It is slightly uneven...no doubt well used in its previous life! I wonder how many tiny babies slept here?

My sleeping porcelain baby.

For a short time I was interested in making porcelain dolls. Harry is my first.....and last. He is wearing a gown of ivory winter twill with tucks and embroidery. The second pic shows his baby "gumnut" cap. I knit these in the car while travelling to see our interstate families.
